I came across a writing prompt for the weekend over at Sammi’s Scribbles and decided to give it a go. The prompt: write something with the word “decisive” in exactly 39 words. So here we go:
It’s hard for me to have opinions on the spot—that is, share opinions on the spot, be decisive. I don’t want to offend. But inside I know things, believe things, and am strong in that belief. I stand.
It’s a reflection on one of my weaknesses, that of being wishy washy and not having the confidence to share my opinions when it’s important. It’s something I need to work on. I want to be sure I can set an example for my daughter so she can stand strong even when she disagrees with those around her.
