Almost Canadian

Here it is: the dreaded first post. I say dreaded because I’ve been wanting to start a blog for a long time, yet I am only just now doing it at the ripe old age of 23. It seemed intimidating—what platform should I use? How often should I post? What can I possibly write about that other people will find interesting enough to read? These questions have not been completely answered, but I think that’s ok. At some point you just have to start, and that’s where I’m at right now.

That said, let’s make this post brief. What should you expect from this blog? I have a lot of interests, so expect a lot of random things. There may be crafts (both directions for things I’ve designed myself and my take on other peoples’ projects), things I’ve written (like short stories or maybe poetry if I’m feeling ambitious), thoughts on articles/books I find interesting, and whatever other things I find important enough to share. Which may just be a pretty flower I found on the side of the road, because flowers are important.

All this is to say: welcome! Join me as I do things and write stuff!
